Peter Pan

Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. It’s a tale we’ve all heard growing up; whether it be through the book or the countless film adaptations it’s gone through over the years. It’s a timeless tale about a boy who simply chose to not grow up.

Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. It’s a tale we’ve all heard growing up; whether it be through the book or the countless film adaptations it’s gone through over the years. It’s a timeless tale about a boy who simply chose to not grow up.

As an adult in adult jobs with adult bills and responsibilities, I’m sure I am not alone when there are days I wonder what it would have been like to simply fly away to that second star on the right and stay in Neverland rather than going to college and learning how terrifying a mortgage can be. That’s one of the joys of writing; You can let your imagination soar and fill whatever fantasies you wish, all without leaving your journal and desk.

For days that you’re having trouble flying away into your journaling, here are a few tips that, just like pixie dust, will have you soaring away towards inspiration.

Never stop working towards your dreams

“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.”

Follow what makes you happiest

“It is not in doing what you like, but in liking what you do that is the secret of happiness.”

Don’t force yourself to write if you’re not ready

“When there's a smile in your heart, there's no better time to start.”
