Practice Free Writing - Take a bit of time each day to write about one memory or thought. Don’t focus on perfection, the simple act of free writing a bit each day will help you grow over time.
Consider The Setting - Spend a little time considering where the event took place. What did it look like? Were there any memorable sounds or smells? How did the setting contribute to your experience?
Remember Some Dialogue - Dialogue can be a crucial part of creating a vibrant story. You may not remember every word that was said, but try to think back and capture the flavor to give your story extra life.
Now Try This! Writing Prompt: Take all of the information you’ve gathered from the tips and write a chapter about the most interesting moment in your life.
