Our Signature Collection is a special group of products that are used by Colin Murdy everyday. Crafted from chrome-tanned walnut brown American bison, with a varied deep grain pattern, these pieces are more durable and less prone to wear due to the unique surface of the leather.

Designed around the ubiquitous little black notebook, our Mini Cut is a compact, portable journal made for notes, ideas, and everyday carry. Our innovative in-spine binding bar allows it to accommodate any 3.5"x5.5" notebook refill. Three stainless steel screws hold the insert firmly in place while allowing it to be replaced using only a Phillips screwdriver.

Our Mini Cut Murdy No. 2 Refillable Leather Journal is created for the writer, traveler, office, and everyone else. These beautiful and durable 5-6 oz. full-grain leather journal will serve you well for years to come. Laser engrave an inscription into the front cover or add a spine engraving.

Created around the ubiquitous little black notebook, our cover uses an innovative, in spine binding bar, to allow for any 3.5" by 5.5" notebook refill. Two stainless steel screws hold the insert firmly in place, but allow for replacement with only a Phillips screwdriver. Easily add any refill by following our simple instructions.

Our Signature Collection Mini Cut Murdy No. 2 design will come with a Softcover Moleskine Graph insert pre-installed and a stainless steel and gold trim Parker Jotter.

About Our Leather

Our leather is 6–8 oz. full-grain cowhide, chrome and oil tanned in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Infused with a natural wax blend throughout the hide, it is waterproof, low in water absorption, and virtually maintenance-free. Liquids bead up and roll off rather than soaking in.

Our leather will naturally develop a rich patina over time through exposure to air, sunlight, natural oils, and everyday use. If needed, it can be cleaned with a soft, damp microfiber cloth, while saddle soap can be used to remove heavier dirt and help condition the leather. Thanks to the leather’s natural oils and waxes, most light surface scratches can simply be buffed out using the warmth of your finger.

As a natural material, each piece is one of a kind and may feature unique markings and characteristics.
