Our Signature Collection is a special group of products that are used by Colin Murdy everyday. Crafted from chrome-tanned walnut brown American bison, with a varied deep grain pattern, these pieces are more durable and less prone to wear due to the unique surface of the leather.

One of our most versatile designs, the Stationery Cut is made for those who want the flexibility to build their own notebook. Compatible with 8.5"×11" letter-size or A4 paper folded in half, as well as A5 softcover notebooks up to 3/8" thick, it lets you use everything from printed pages to your favorite notebook insert. Our custom rod binding construction holds up to 30 sheets of 24 lb. paper securely in place while allowing pages and inserts to be easily removed and replaced.

Our Stationery Cut Murdy No. 7 Refillable Leather Cover is created for the writer, traveler, office, and everyone else. These beautiful and durable 6-7 oz. full-grain leather cover will serve you well for years to come. Laser engrave an inscription into the front cover for even more customization.

Created with the busy writer in mind, our cover uses an innovative, rod binding construction, to allow for up to 30 sheets of 8.5" x 11" 24lb paper. It is compatible with A4 metric paper and A5 Softcover inserts (like Leuchtturm1917) up to 3/8 in thick or roughly 125 pages.

Each of our Murdy No. 7 designs will come with the option to add a stainless steel and gold trim Parker Jotter.

About Our Leather

Our leather is 6–8 oz. full-grain cowhide, chrome and oil tanned in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Infused with a natural wax blend throughout the hide, it is waterproof, low in water absorption, and virtually maintenance-free. Liquids bead up and roll off rather than soaking in.

Our leather will naturally develop a rich patina over time through exposure to air, sunlight, natural oils, and everyday use. If needed, it can be cleaned with a soft, damp microfiber cloth, while saddle soap can be used to remove heavier dirt and help condition the leather. Thanks to the leather’s natural oils and waxes, most light surface scratches can simply be buffed out using the warmth of your finger.

As a natural material, each piece is one of a kind and may feature unique markings and characteristics.
